Interesting idea, and it would fit in well with us holding the event at FACT, which is mainly a centre for digital arts. There was also a recent property story in the local news where a derelict pub a couple of minutes walk from FACT had its valuation doubled by the presence of a huge Banksy mural covering most of its exterior.

If you want proper digital-meets-built-environment art then maybe we should do something with Friispray, but they're Leeds-based rather than Scouse :-)

Hi, Martin, Paul, Adrian, Ken & Keith

I have just left the final knockings of Bazaart in Bethnal Green, which was a great success. Urban art/ street art, call i what you will, was an important part of this event, which attracted thousands of people to a wharehouse venue (including outside, in the car park) in east London. Art painted on buildings (think Banksy) is an increasingly recognized genre and can be internationally recognised. Many of these artists have their own websites. So, putting 2 and 2 together, my idea for part of be2campnorth, Liverpool 15.5.09, would be Web 2.0 Urban Art, featuring Scouse urban artists. I would go via Account 3, who organised Bazaart and got 90 artisits together, mainly from east London, in the making of this success story.

After our brief chat post-EcoBuild yesterday, it looks like Be2campNorth will be in Liverpool. Adrian McEwen should confirm details shortly.

Hi, a north of England Be2Camp sounds like a great idea. How about Newcastle as a location, or maybe Durham?
