- About Me
- I trained as an architect and then worked in management and organisation development for over 25 years. my undergraduate research was on Charrette: an aproach to user participation in design decision making, my masters research in systems and I went on to apply Deming's ideas and then lean thinking.
Bringing all this together I have been working with the ideas of Lean construction for the last 8 years and more recently with lean design and integrated project delivery. I will be interviewing leaders of integrated project delivery teams using set based design and working on target cost delivery later this month in the US.
I work as a consultant to design and construction companies. I am a co-editor of the Lean Construction Journal http://www.leanconstructionjournal.org, a director of the Lean Construction Institute UK http://www.lci-uk.org.
