About Me

I am business development manager for Natural Building Technologies ( http://www.natural-building.co.uk ), and work with NBT Consult ( http://www.nbtconsult.co.uk ).

Prior to this I was director of Sustainable Building Solutions - an award winning building consultancy and construction materials supply company.

As part of SBS I blogged at the sustainable building blog, and have a great interest in how we can share good practice and practical solutions in the built environment via social networks and web 2.0 - for a start we seem able to side step the green-wash and eco-bollocks PR that dominates the industry at present.

For me, sustainability is providing buildings that are not only environmentally friendly, but socially successful and financially available. It is more than just carbon and energy - its about healthy buildings, passive rather than technology led solutions, resource depletion, waste, longevity of buildings etc.
