Paul, not sure that I'm qualified to speak (a bit old school) but I would be interested in any Geo focused content. Any thoughts, plans on that angle? Regards.

Any chance, even at this late stage, that you might yet be able to contribute to Be2camp@WorkingBuildings2009 - the session on Thursday afternoon is focused on location-related data.
Regards
Paul

We generally suggest that you speak for about ten minutes (can be PowerPoint, quick tour of a website or application, words ...). If there's a theme, it will be stress the social/people element - perhaps how people can interact with or mould data about the environment they live in (or might one day live in). Feel free to suggest a title for your talk if the one I've put there isn't adequate.

Look forward to it.

Ulterior motives are always welcome! For a start, now you're on Be2camp feel free to use the site to give details of your event.

I, for one (maybe it's the ex-sociologist in me?), am already interested in the whole area of geographic information - I went to the CASA workshop, sponsored by AGI, in January - see my EE blog post - and saw all sorts of ways in which information could be re-used to help the AEC industry make more informed contributions to the planning, design, delivery and future management of the built environment.

Rob Annable, a Midlands-based architect, is keen on the use of Web 2.0 and talked at the recent Ecobuild about Moblogs as a way for young people to contribute to a social map of their neighbourhood. Rob spoke at last year's Be2camp and I hope will be in Liverpool next month too.

Most welcome. We had some contribution on Open Street Map and a lot of discussion about Ordnance Survey data with Charles Arthur at the London event. Feel free to suggest a topic
