Exploring Web 2.0 in the built environment

One of the features of Be2camp-style event delivery is the capture of user-generated content associated with each event, and yesterday's RIBAforum09 is no exception. Freed from the hassles of managing streaming video or trying to bypass patchy wifi (that was Clare Sinclair's challenge, which she rose to magnificently), I could focus on listening to the speakers and sharing their insights.

And a lot of others did the same. In fact, the statistics tell us more people looked at the CoverItLive feed than were actually present in the room. Dozens of people - some tuning in from afield as Kansas City, Hong Kong and Melbourne - contributed to the online conversation via Twitter about the event, and the ripples from the event are still extending.

Today, I have been uploading photos and video that I took yesterday to a newly-created RIBAforum09 content page (with luck we will get more speakers' permission to add their presentations). I hope some of the architects that attended will use the resource to refresh their memories about what they saw and heard, and anyone that didn't attend can, of course, also learn more about the event.
